This session took place in a web chat platform. Due to its participatory, interactive nature, an archived recording is not available.

ONA Table Talks have been reconceived as digital-only meet-ups for ONA21, with a single, video-conferencing breakout room, managed by conference speakers and staff and open to all attendees. These spaces are a chance for attendees to share experiences, gain expertise and network across job roles and organization types.

Resolve Philly’s Project Editor, Kristine Villanueva, and community engagement staff, Jingyao Yu, lead a working conversation on best practices for culturally relevant translation for limited-English proficient audiences.

This session is designed for:

  • Newsroom professionals looking to strengthen existing engagement with non-English language audiences
  • Attendees looking for a more engaged, conversational conference environment
  • Anyone interested in troubleshooting ideas and identifying collaborative solutions
