Julia B. Chan is the Managing Editor of Digital at KQED. She leads editorial content strategies, story production and audience engagement across platforms. She's tasked with shaping the identity of and strategy for KQED News on kqed.org and many of KQED’s digital platforms including newsletters, mobile apps and social media. Her past experience as a multiplatform journalist and project manager at Mother Jones, Reveal, The Center for Investigative Reporting, and the San Francisco Examiner — working on projects ranging from breaking news to long-form investigative work — has prepared Julia for this new role at KQED where she is managing and leading large teams of digitally-savvy journalists.
